Solution presentation<\/h3>

Small Animal Clinic - UX, UI<\/strong> is a website that represents the largest team of specialist veterinarians in Slovenia. Based on regular monitoring of user behaviour and thorough analysis, we have designed a new, modern user interface that improves the accessibility of key services.<\/p>

For pet owners, we've made it easy to book appointments for check-ups, order diet food and easily order prescriptions and medication. For vets, we have provided options for referring patients, including for tests such as CT scans and referrals for patients with Brachycephalic Syndrome.<\/p>

The Small Animal Clinic and the KM\u017d brand operate under the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Ljubljana, with which I have been working since 2014.<\/p>

Process of implementation<\/h3>

Understanding user needs and project goals<\/h5>

The project started by defining the key objectives for the clinic's website, where the focus was on providing an easy and intuitive experience for users such as pet owners looking for information on services and health advice. I worked with the clinic management to define functionalities such as an overview of services, schedules and the ability to easily book appointments. We have also defined the experience for veterinarians, as part of the solution benefits them as well.<\/p>

User research and persona definition<\/h5>

Based on interviews with the clinic management, veterinarians and user analysis, we defined personas representing different types of users. These included dog and cat owners who need quickly accessible information about veterinary services, as well as veterinarians. This ensured that the website was designed according to the specific needs of each user.<\/p>

Designing user flows and information architecture<\/h5>

In this phase, I designed the structure of the site and defined the user flows. I made sure that navigation was simple and logical, with an emphasis on quick access to key information such as clinic services, animal care advice and emergency contacts.<\/p>

Wireframing and prototyping<\/h5>

I created wireframes for typical pages, defining the visual appearance and functionality of the site. Through prototyping, we tested user flows and interactions, which allowed us to make adjustments based on feedback from clinic owners and potential users. A team of KM\u017d veterinarians was also involved.<\/p>

User interface design (UI)<\/h5>

Once the structures and user flows were confirmed, I led the design of the website. I ensured that the visual identity of the clinic, including the colour scheme, typography and imagery, was brand-consistent and user-friendly. Special focus was placed on creating a friendly and professional look that gives users a feeling of trust and security.<\/p>

Collaboration with the development team and implementation<\/h5>

In my role as lead, I ensured smooth communication between the design and development teams, where we worked together to implement design solutions. I made sure that all functionalities such as appointment booking, information pages and contacts were implemented according to the UX\/UI guidelines.<\/p>

Usability testing and optimisation<\/h5>

The first round of usability testing was carried out internally within the team, where we checked the basic functionalities and potential shortcomings. We then extended the testing to the clinic staff to gain insight from their perspective. Only after these steps we tested with the actual users of the website.
