Veterinary Journal is the main professional publication of the Veterinary Chamber of Slovenia, aimed at educating and informing the veterinary profession. The challenge of the project was to transform the voluminous professional articles, clinical studies and advertisements into a visually consistent, modern and easy-to-read format that maintains a high level of authority and professionalism.
As a designer, I was responsible for the overall break and visual identity of the magazine:
Structural clarity: I have created a strong grid and typographic hierarchy that allows fast scanning of key information and comfortable reading of long technical texts.
Visualising information: I have tried to present complex data and diagrams in a way that is visually clean and consistent with the overall graphic image of the Chamber.
Consistency and production: I took care of the technical preparation for print and provided the visual thread through the various issues of the magazine.
The redesign of the journal has improved the readability and user experience for the Chamber's members, while strengthening the reputation of Veterinary Journal as a modern and professionally relevant publication.
